Obituary

Howland - Charles A. "Chuck" Kwortek, Jr., 65, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at his residence from complications due to Diabetes. He was born October 14, 1948 in Brownsville, PA. the son of Charles, Sr. and Betty Kwortek. He was a 1966 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended the Kent State Branch for two years. Chuck retired from Packard Electric as a pipefitter after 35 years. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle, Slovak Club and Vice President of the Filipino American Organization North East Ohio. Chuck loved singing, dancing muscle car shows, drag racing at the mid-Ohio races and was an avid Steelers Fan "Go Steelers". Chuck served in the U. S. Navy during Viet Nam. He is survived by his mother Betty Kwortek of Warren, his wife Jean Kwortek whom he married July 22, 2006, three children Tracy (George) Dickenson of Liberty, Charlotte (Brian) Morgan of Warren and Jason Kwortek of Willard, OH, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters Carol Bromley-Kwortek of Warren and Dianna (Richard) Christie of Warren. He is preceded in death by his father. Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial chapel in Warren. A Service will be Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with James P. Walker officiating.
