Obituary

Florida - Charles F. Covert, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Baily Hospice in St. Augustine, FL. He was born November 6, 1926 in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Alfred and Rose Covert. He was a 1946 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Charles retired in 1987 from Ohio Lamp GE after 43 years and retired in 2001 from Diebold Company of Canton after 10 years. Charles served on the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County Board and was the Coordinator of the Hospitality for the Western Reserve Classic Charity Horse Show. He enjoyed golfing and gardening. Charles served in the U.S. Amy 3rd Infantry in WW II. He is survived his wife Angela Covert, a daughter Lydia Stevens of Niles, a stepdaughter Teresa (Ron) Barbe of Mineral Ridge, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Frances E. Covert whom he married July 7, 1957 and passed away March 23, 2000, two daughters Jacquelyn Littell and Sandra Graf. A Memorial calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A service will be Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Myron Daum officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Charles name to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County 812 Youngstown Kingsville Rd. SE, Vienna, Ohio 44473.
