WARREN - Cody Alan Dodson, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 2, 2026.
He was born October 22, 1997, in Warren, the son of Mark and Cheri (Hottenroth) Dodson.
A 2016 graduate of Lakeview High School, Cody was a dedicated student and athlete, notably serving as captain of the Lakeview Soccer team. Following high school, he attended Kent State University, continuing to pursue his ambitions with determination. At the time of his passing, Cody was nearing the completion of his electrician apprenticeship with Local #573, excitedly looking forward to a promising career in the electrical trade.
Cody’s passions extended beyond his work and studies. He loved playing and watching all sports, particularly the Cleveland Browns. Golf was another cherished pastime, which he enjoyed frequently. Most precious of all to Cody was the time spent with his family at the lake—riding the boat and simply being together, moments that brought him profound joy and fulfillment.
He is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Cheri Dodson of Coventry Township; his brothers, Garrett Dodson (Morgan Hardman) of Champion and Christopher (Taylor) Rowlands of Cortland; and his dear nephew, Brett Rowlands.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Rosie Hottenroth and Tom and Janace Dodson.
Family, friends, and those who knew Cody are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on June 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, located at 1884 North Rd NE in Warren, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to help the family with funeral expenses.
