Warren - Daniel R. "Dan" Valimont, 75, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at his residence after a nine month Illness. Daniel was born July 25, 1938 in Sykesville, PA. the son of Morgan and Dorothy Valimont. Dan is a 1957 graduate of Brookfield High School. He retired from Wean United Manufacturing Co. as a machinist after 29 A½ years. He was a member of St. William Church in Champion. Dan enjoyed bowling, fishing, vending at flee markets and his family. Dan served in U.S. Army (Bay of Pigs). He is survived by his wife Claudia Valimont whom he married March 6, 1962, Children Daniel S. Valimont of Champion, OH, Judy (Moe) Phelps of Niles, OH, David C. Valimont of Champion, OH, Paula (Lee) Byler of Colebrook, OH, and Major Joseph Valimont U.S. Army of Washington, DC., three grandchildren Nicole, Stephanie and Trevor, brother Thomas "Sid" (Christine) Valimont of Brookfield and a sister Gertrude "Trudy" Terchilla of Masury, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Beulah White and Sarilee Yassall. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren and Friday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at St. William Church in Champion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. William Church in Champion with Rev. Michael D. Balash officiating.
