Champion - Darrel K. McCauley Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was Born May 16, 1935 in Mill Creek, West Virginia the son of the late Tucker and Amanda McCauley. Darrel came to the area in 1973. He retired from Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, TX, after twenty years of service. After his retirement from the Military he worked at Copperweld Steel Corporation as a Forman in the shipping for ten years. He was Lifetime Member of the DAV Chapter 11. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and playing cards. Darrel served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and Air Force serving in Korea and Viet Nam. He is survived by his son Darrel K. (Sherri) McCauley Jr. of Champion, a daughter Karla (Burton "Skeeter") Baird of Lowellville, four grandchildren Darrel McCauley III, Kayla Miller, and Cole and Kyle Baird, two brothers Delmas (Doris) McCauley of Lordstown and Jim (Delores) McCauley of North Carolina and three sisters Lucille (Lou) Loubaski of Newton Falls, Carol Sturgill of Baltimore, MD, and Mary (Al) DiMarcantino of Perry Hall, MD.. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Treva C. McCauley whom he married July 7, 1962 and passed away May 1, 2015, five brothers and one sister.. Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Service will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Click officiating. Burial will be in Champion Twp. Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
