Howland – David A. Adams, 83, of Howland passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 9, 2026 at Hospice House with his family at his side.
David was born on June 20, 1942 in Youngstown, OH, the only child of David F. and Mary Louise (Chesney) Adams.
David was a 1960 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business from Youngstown State University. He had an extensive career in manufacturing, working for Packard Electric for 38 years, retiring in skilled trades.
Outside of work, David was known for his love of cars, particularly muscle cars and corvettes. He also enjoyed working outdoors and was known as “Mr. Fix-it” by many in the family as he took on and completed many projects. David was an avid golfer and was skilled enough to make a hole-in-one at Sugarbush Gold Course. Most of all, David cherished the time he spent with his family. Whether it was vacationing in Zephyrhills, FL with his wife or supporting his daughter and grandchildren in all their endeavors, he loved being with loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
David will always be remembered by his wife of 55 years, Margaret “Marge” K. Adams of Howland; daughter, Jennifer M. (Andrew) Hayes of Bloomfield Hills, MI; grandchildren, Ryan, Kylie and Claire Hayes and many loved cousins and many friends.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Mary and Judy.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to David on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 8:30 to 9:30am at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
A Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 10am at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish - Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE Warren, OH 44483, with Rev. Ed Stafford presiding.
Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
