Warren - David Holtz Hamilton, 80, passed away April 26, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born June 14, 1935 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Clifford Hamilton and Lillian Holtz Hamilton Carnes. He graduated from Texas Military Institute in 1955 and attended Kent State University prior to serving in the United States Army. David was co-owner of Warren x Concrete and Supply Company in Warren for over 40 years with his brother, Harry Hamilton. David served the greater Warren community for nearly fifty years in volunteer and civic leadership roles. He was on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations, including: the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Trumbull Memorial Hospital Foundation, Ohio Ready Mix Concrete Association, Boy Scouts, and Children's Rehabilitation Center. He was past president (and Paul Harris Fellow) of Warren Rotary Club, Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, Trumbull County Builders Association, Kennedy Club, Greeneville Sportsman's Club, and Buckeye Club. He served as a Trumbull 100 and received the Community Star award in 2007. He was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Church where he served as an usher, Parish Council member and chairman, and committee member. He is survived by his children: Kelli Holden of Falls Church, VA, Kristen Hamilton and Kathryn Hamilton both of Dublin, OH; three grandchildren: Lucy Holden, Grant Holden and Julian Hamilton; son-in-law Todd Holden; and brother Harry Hamilton of Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Anna N. Hamilton. Family and friends may call Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE Warren. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
