WARREN - David M. Kolenich, 58, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

David was born July 5, 1952, in Warren, the son of Michael and Dorothy R. Fusich Kolenich Jr.

He was self-employed most of his life. For the last eight years, he worked for WCI Steel and was a union representative there. He held a Ph.D. in business management.

David was of the Byzantine Catholic faith. He enjoyed all sports, especially handball, and was a Class B national champion in handball.

Survivors include his mother of Warren; a brother, Stephen E. of Warren; three sisters, Catherine A. Moran of Niles, Karan A. Schneider of Niles and Rosemary M. Kolenich of Warren; a niece; seven nephews and one great-nephew.

David was preceded in death by his father, Michael Kolenich Jr.
