Deborah
Herbst
March 4, 1953 – June 5, 2026
Warren – Deborah Herbst, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, June 5, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Deborah was born on March 4, 1953, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of William and Genevieve (Kerr) Lucas.
She graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School in 1973, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse degree through the school's work-study program.
In addition to being a devoted homemaker and beloved matriarch of her family, Deborah worked as a licensed practical nurse from 1973 until 1998. She then embarked on a new adventure as a school bus driver, a position she held until her retirement in 2016.
Deborah was a faithful member of St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, especially novels by Stephen King and Nora Roberts. She also loved listening to music and was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Above all, Deborah cherished her family and treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her generosity, kindness, and bubbly personality.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Xylona Herbst (fiancé, Greg DeJacimo), Michael Jr. (Jessica) Morse, and Craig Morse; her beloved grandchildren, Lucas, Carissa, Matthew, Mariah, Leo, Lena, Craig, Bella, and Riley; her great grandchildren Link, Layla and Genevieve; her brother, William “Butch” Lucas; her sisters, Lindy Lucas and Evelyn “Polly” Stanton; her precious dog, Genny; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In keeping with Deborah’s wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road, Warren.
