Obituary

Warren - Delia Anna Antonelli, 91, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Hospice House in Poland. She was born June 17, 1925, in Silvi Paese, Italy, the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria Rosaria Valentine. She came to the United States in 1948 and had worked at the Spaghetti Village in downtown Warren as a cook. Delia had volunteered at Hillside Rehab Hospital for 15 years. She was also a member of the Civitellesi Club and the Warren Italian-American Festival Committee. Delia was of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and watching Italian soccer matches. She is survived by her children Julia (Tim) McClurg of Fowler, Carla (Ron) Gilronan of Champion, JoAnna Antonelli of Upper Arlington, OH, and Mario (Sue) Antonelli of Oradell, NJ, six grandchildren Elissa and Giordano Gilronan, Cathy and Carlo Antonelli, Mikenna McClurg and Casey Ocasio, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carlo Antonelli whom she married June 13, 1953 and passed away May 11, 1997, three brothers, Albert, Corinto, and her twin brother Nunzio Valentine, and three sisters Lucia Valentine, Celia Forcella, and Aida Cipollone. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. William Church in Champion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. William Church in Champion with Rev. Michael D. Balash officiating. Entombment will be in Pineview Cemetery in Warren. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Delia Antonelli's name to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd.
