Warren - Dimitrios Liakaris, 93, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born April 10, 1922, in Fyta Chios, Greece the son of the late George and Anna Liakaris. Dimitrios came to Warren in 1978 from Greece. He was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and traveling back and forth to Greece. He is survived by his wife Maria Liakaris whom he has been married to for 65 years, three children Haralambos "Bobby" (Lori) Liakaris, Anna (Louis) Paxos, and Louis (Peggy) Liakaris all of Warren, eight grandchildren Eudokia "Evi", Jimmy, and Chris Paxos, Dimitrios (Fiancee Tanya), George (Cher), Marios (Amy), Mary, and James Liakaris, four great grandchildren, sister-in-law Paraskevi Dontas of Brooklyn, NY, brother-in-law Mike Dontas of Bethlaham, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Trisagion Service and Thursday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
