Warren - Donald L. "Buzzy" Guarnieri, respected Attorney at Law and business leader, passed away of a heart attack on August 2, 2014 at his residence in Warren, Ohio. Donald was born May 8, 1934, in Warren, Ohio. He was the son of the late Albert and Elsie Guarnieri. A proud lifelong resident of Warren, Donald went to St. Mary's High School, attended college at Hiram and went to Law School at Cleveland State University. He was admitted in to the practice of law in 1960. While in college, he joined the Army National Guard, and served for many years. As an Attorney, he was known as an excellent trial lawyer, who worked tirelessly to protect the rights of his clients. Because of his work efforts he was highly respected in his profession and community. Besides being an Attorney, he gave himself to his hometown. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Warren Knights of Columbus, Trumbull Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, The American Legion, Warren Civic Music Association and donated his time to the Salvation Army. He was also a Trustee of Thiel College and on the Board of Hiram College. He was an enormous fan of college football. Never missing a chance to attend a game or watch one on TV. Notre Dame and Ohio State where his favorites (until his son graduated from Michigan State Law School) then he was a proud Spartan fan too. But, his two biggest passions outside of work were horseback riding and traveling. Donald was a 50 year member of Inter-County Horse Association and Penn-Ohio Horse Association. He even won the title of Grand Champion. He loved to travel! His favorite way to explore the world was by sea. In his lifetime, him and his wife traveled places in Europe, South America, Africa, Asia and even to the South Pole. He is survived by his wife Sandra, and his son Lewis (Heather). He is leaves behind his brother Albert "Sonny" (Ann) Guarnieri, a sister Lucille (Richard) McGuire-Bayman and two sister-in-laws Carole (Steven) Kopnicky and Andria (Ronald) Crawford. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Warren with Rev. Bernard Schmalzried and Rev. James P. Walker Con-Celebrating the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Donald's name to St. Mary's Church 301 High St. NE, Warren Ohio 44481, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 185 Laird Ave. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, Trumbull County Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown Kingsville Rd.
