Doris Mosko, 81, of Warren, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Briarfield at the Ridge Care Center. Doris was born May 20, 1931, in Green Township, the daughter of Clifford Lane and Isabel Higley Hunter. She was a very active member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. Doris enjoyed bingo, puzzles, crocheting and porching.

For many years she was a very active volunteer at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Doris leaves her beloved husband, Michael J. "Mickey" Mosko, whom she married Dec. 28, 1957, and her loving family, three daughters, Mary Janice (Dennis) Strock of Leavittsburg, Joyce Ann Martin of Las Vegas, Nev., and Anita L. (Donald) Watson of Leavittsburg; and five sons, Michael A. Mosko of Leavittsburg, Ronald Mosko of Warren, David Mosko of Warren, Gregory (Kathleen) Mosko of Henderson, Nev., and Edward Mosko of Howland. Doris also leaves 17 grandchildren, including Gwendolyn, Philip, Ethan and Christopher Strock, Rex, Catherine and Brian Mosko, Samantha Martin, and Alexis and Justin Watson; a cousin, Earl (Mary) Manwell of Southington; and best friend, Vicki (Ken) Mailach. Doris also leaves five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Harold B. Hunter; daughter-in-law, Crisma Mosko; and also her grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Hunter, and her aunt, Bernice Manwell Sexaur, both of whom raised her.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
