Warren - Dorothy M. "Aunt Dee" Gorse, 96, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Windsor House in Champion. She was born March 23, 1918 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Mary Gorse. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Dorothy retired in 1972 from Packard Electric as a secretary in the Customer Relations Department. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church where she was very active in the Parish Community, a founding member of the Ministers of Care Group to nursing homes, attended daily Mass and a member of the morning Rosary Group. She volunteered at St. Joseph Health Center Gift Shop. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, bowling, baking, cooking, sewing, her cats and was an avid golfer. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Karen (Daniel) Fletcher of Niles, James (Inez) Gorse of Cortland, Mark Gorse of Warren, William A Gorse of Washington, DC., Barbara (Roger) Palmer of Arnold, MD, Kathy (Gary) Bush of Concord, OH, Edward (Cindy) Gorse of Warren, Richard Gorse of Warren, Robert (Shirley) Gorse of Cortland, Donald (Suzie) Gorse of Cortland, Mary Anne (Rick) Banish of Syracuse, NY and Anna Marie (Rich) Rojek of Charleston, SC, numerous great nieces and nephews and numerous great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Joseph H. Jr, William and Edward J. Gorse and a nephew Joseph H. Gorse III. Family and friends may call Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Thomas McCarthy officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd.
