Obituary

Warren – Eda V. Petrosky, 86, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her residence and is now in heaven with the angels.

She was born October 30, 1930, in Niles, Ohio the daughter of the late Aniello and Angeline Villecco.

She was a 1948 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and had taken some nursing courses. She retired in 2003 from Scope as bookkeeper after 21 years. She had previously worked at Gilmore Furniture Store in downtown Warren as a bookkeeper for 15 years and had served as a teacher's aide at Roosevelt Elementary School. She had attended St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) in Warren and St. Mary's Church in Warren. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, sowing and maintaining her flowers. She was an avid book reader and an American History historian. She was excellent cook and baker, canned, preserved, and picked her own fruit, and was a very caring and generous person. She loved music and had an extensive music collection. Eda was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eda lived a life of dignity, honesty, strong work ethic and generosity to others.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Eschman of Warren, five grandchildren Jesse, Brian, Angela and Anthony (Shelia Fiancée) Petrosky and Justin Eschman, five great grandchildren Dominique, Skylar, Rylee, Travis and Blake, a sister Eva V. Keefner of Warren, niece JoAnn Michelakis, nephew Jim Keefner, and a nephew John Villecco.   "Mom, you were the best and the void in our lives can never be filled."

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years Albert C. Petrosky, a son David Petrosky and two brothers John and Anthony Villecco.

Per Eda's wishes there will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00 am. St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) 420 North St. NW, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Christopher Henyk officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be in Eda's name to the Warren Family Mission 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, Ohio 44481.
