Warren - Dr. Elefterios "Tedd" K. Markopoulos, 83, of Warren passed away peacefully Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 8:59 a.m. in his home. At the time of his death the sun was shining and two doves appeared at his window. He was born July 13, 1930 in Warren, Ohio the son of Kyriakos and Chrysanti Markopoulos. Tedd was a 1948 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He then received a BS Degree from the Ohio State University and graduated in 1960 from the Ohio State University Dental School. Tedd started his practice in 1961 on Elm Rd. and retired in 2005 after 44 years. He was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church where he was part of the ground breaking ceremony the St. Demetrios Community Center on Atlantic St.. Tedd was also a member of the Warren Lions Club, OSU Alumni Association, AHEPA, Corydon Palmer Dental Society and the Cheerleaders for Warren G. Harding and the Ohio State University. He was a Life Guard at the Warren City Municipal Pool. Tedd enjoyed gardening, cooking, swimming and diving, going to the OSU football games and was avid bowler and golfer. Tedd served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Sylvia J. Markopoulos whom he married August 25, 1962, Kirk (Karen) Markopoulas of Peidmont, CA., Palan (Steven) Lussier of Howland, and Kristan (Dan) Quinn of Chardon, six grandchildren Michelle, Nicole and Gina Lussier, Theodore and Nikolas Markopoulos and Ian Quinn, a sister Sylvia (Philip) Bardos of Dublin, OH and a brother Michael (Beverly) Markopoulos of Niles. He is deceased by his parents, son Jon Markopoulos and a brother John K. Markopoulos. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio. A Service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
