Clearwater, FL. - Eleftheria "Rhea" Bournias, 93,formerly of Warren, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was born December 28, 1921 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Nickolas and Anna Kontos. She was a 1941 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Rhea retired as co-owner with her husband of Elliott's Restaurant in downtown Cleveland after fourteen years. She and her husband owned and operated several restaurants in Dubuque, Iowa and Cleveland, Ohio. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater FL. and St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. She is survived by her children George (Angie) Bournias of Warren, and Irene (Chris) Kotsatos of Clearwater, FL, grandson Terry Bournias, step grandchildren Terry (Kellicia) Kotsatos, and Deena Kotsatos-Szakacis, and four step great granddaughters, sister-in-law Peggy Kontos and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eleftherios "Terry" Bournias whom she married June 2, 1946 and passed away June 6, 1976, two brothers George and Mike Kontos, and four sisters Maria Bourekis, Argio Lagos, Irene Bogas and Bessie Sfikas. Family and friends may call Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Trisagion Service and Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. Service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
