Obituary

Warren - Elizabeth "Liz" Venetta, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence Monday, November 10, 2014. Liz was born December 11, 1942 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Sandfry. She was a 1960 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Liz retired in 2000 from 2nd National Bank after merging with Trumbull Savings and Loan Company as a new accounts representative after 15 years. She had previously worked Trumbull Credit and Adjustment Bureau, McKinley Federal Savings and Loan association. She had also co-owned with her husband and daughter Venetta's Italian Restaurant in Hubbard Ohio for 3 years. Liz was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) and also had volunteered at St. James Church and Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed canning, cooking, baking especially pie's and playing bocce in the ITAM #30 woman's league. Liz mostly enjoyed spending time and watching over her grandchildren and great grandchildren She is survived by her husband Henry Venetta whom she married September 12, 1964, three children Marianne (Rick) Layman of Hubbard, Anthony (Heather) Venetta of Powell, OH, and Lizanne Venetta of Warren, four grandchildren Nick ( Natalie Bata) Mymo, Marisa (Anthony) Ronci, and Avery and Anthony Venetta, four great grandchildren Anthony, James, Henry and Amelia, one brother James (Nancy) Sandfry of Columbia, MO, three brother-in-laws's Robert "Bob" Seifer of Warren, Gene Venetta of Pickerington, OH, and Dominic (Sandy) Venetta of Warren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Carol Seifer. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial w ill be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (SS. Cyril & Methodius Church) with Rev. James P. Walker officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
