Warren - Emmanuel Nicholas Michelakis, 75, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born August 15, 1939 in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Nicholas and Anna Michelakis. Manny was a 1957 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired from the Warren City Water Department as director and had worked in a bakery most of his life . He was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Manuel served in the National Guard. Manny was a very generous man, donating much of his time and cooking talents to his Church and various organizations. But his biggest passion was to make loaves of bread with his brothers and nephews to be given away. He is survived by his wife Patricia Michelakis whom he married June 5, 1982 three sons Rodney (Cindy) Hathhorn of Charleston WV, Ryan Hathhorn of Warren, Chad (Melissa) Hathhorn of Warren, three daughters Mandy (Scott) Winland of Niles, Monica Michelakis of Warren and Andrea (Brian) Renn of Warren, step-daughter Rachel McGlynn of Niles fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren a brother Gust M. Michelakis of Warren, and a sister Katherine Leftheris of Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Gus Michelakis, three brothers Michael, John and Christ Michelakis and a sister Koula Skarlis. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m. Trisagion Service and Friday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren with Fr Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
