Niles - Eugene "Gene" Gentile, 77, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at University Hospital in Cleveland from a stroke secondary to complications of acute leukemia. Gene was born January 30, 1937 in Warren, Ohio the son of Guilio and Cesidia (Viola) Gentile. He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Gene retired in 1992 from Packard Electric as a Union Committee man after 37 years. He enjoyed watching his children's and grandchildren's sports events and golfing, but his biggest joy was spending time with his family. Gene served in US Army Reserve. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Phyllis Gentile who he married June 18, 1960, four children Pamela Johnson of Warren, Lisa Gentile of Upper Arlington, Eugene Gentile, Jr. of Warren and Tracey (Kevin) Henneman of Warren, five grandchildren Michelle (Ryan) Rappach, Matthew Johnson, Michael Gentile and Caroline and Eric Henneman, a brother Ralph Gentile of Warren, brother-in-law William Gaul of Las Vegas, sister-in-law Julia "Judy" Dellimuti of Warren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his devoted and constant canine companion, Betsy. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Jack Guilio Gentile, two brothers Peter N. Dellimuti, Sr and Louis G. Dellimuti, Sr. and a sister-in-law Wilda Dellimuti. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Service will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Fr. Jeffrey Baker officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
