Niles - Evelyn J. Burns, 88, of Niles passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1925, in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Nick and Mary Conti. Evelyn was a 1944 Graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She moved to Niles in 1976 and retired as buyer and sales clerk from Strouss in downtown Warren and the Eastwood Mall in 1977 after 17 years. She had previously worked at Rappold's in downtown Warren. Evelyn was a member of St. Stephen's Church in Niles. She enjoyed shopping and her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her husband Roger C. Burns, Sr. whom she married November 15, 1944, a son Roger C. "Buddy" (Gladys) Burns, Jr. of Niles, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and a sister Dorothy "Tiny" Fauceglia of Howland. She is preceded in death by her parents, son David "Skippy" Burns, two grandsons David Jr. and Matthew Burns, a brother Grant Conti and two sisters Lucy Seck and Helen Marcello. Family and friends may call Friday from 4;00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio. A service will be Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev.
