Howland - Evelyn "Mary" Hanna, 90, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Health Center. She was born February 5, 1925, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Cickelli. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a graduate of the Chicago School of Nursing. She was the former co-owner and operator with her husband of Hanna Gateway Restaurant on Larchmont. She retired from Warren General Hospital in 1996 from the Physical Therapy Department and had also been the assistant Physical Therapist for Hurl's Ohio Physical Therapy in 1972. In 1950 Mary was named President of the Chiropodical Nurses Association in the U.S. Mary was a member of St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) and the Women's Club of the Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and crocheting. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend and will truly be missed. She is survived by her daughter Monica (Joseph) Shaker of Warren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Elmer J. Hanna whom she married February 28, 1953 and passed away April 5, 1960, five brothers, Frank, Louis, Anthony "Jimmy", Daniel D. and John C. Cickelli. Family and friends may call Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 12:00 noon at the Church with Rev. Christopher Henyk officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
