Warren - Fannie Potopea, 88, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born December 25, 1926 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Lapmarado. She retired from the Albert Guarnieri Co., as a filing clerk after 35 years. Fannie was a member of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially to casinos, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sister Grace "Dolly" Venorsky of Canfield, sister-in-law Donna Lapmarado of Warren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John N. Potopea, whom she married May 17, 1958 and passed away September 16, 1994, and four brothers Ralph, Joseph, Anthony Lapmarado and Michael Lapmardo. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) in Warren with Rev. James P. Walker officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fannie's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
