Foster Charles “Chaz” Emch II., 63, of Warren passed away on Tuesday morning, September 22, 2026 at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

Chaz was born on July 12, 1963 in New Martinsville, WV, a son of the late Foster C. Sr. and Carol (Kover) Emch.

Chaz was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and went to work as a mechanic for over 30 years. In recent years, he worked as a custodian at Champion High School from where he retired.

Outside of work, Chaz enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports, in particular the Cleveland Browns who gave Chaz a win this past Sunday. When he wasn’t watching sports, he would be in his shed tinkering and earned the title, “Papa Fix-it.” Chaz had a strong work ethic and a generous heart. Everyone knew him as the man you always call when you need help. And if you never met him in person, chances are you knew him by his elaborate Christmas light display. Above all, family was his biggest joy in life, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chaz will always be remembered by his wife of 35 years, Debbie Emch of Warren; children, John (Trish) DiCesare, Carrie (Clint) Moon, Caitlin (Brad) Luscher and Ashley (Rick) Hudzik; grandchildren, Jillian (Matthew), Gino, Kaylie, Faith, Hunter, Weston and Jolynn; mother, Carol Kover, sister Leshia Emch and brother, Robert Emch; Brother in laws, Donnie (Cindy) Burkey, Barry Burkey, Kevin (Sue) Burkey, David Luoma and many nieces and nephews.

Chaz was preceded in death by his in-laws, Don and Greta Burkey; sister, Karen Luoma and father, Foster C. Emch Sr.

A Celebration of Chaz’s life will be on October 3, 2026 from 2pm-8pm at Bob Maffitt Meadows, 2970 Hoagland Blackstub Road Cortland, OH 44410. Family and friends are encouraged to wear your favorite sport team in honor of Chaz.
