Obituary

Genevieve J. Fedarko, 95, of Warren, entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 5:50 p.m. at Windsor House at Champion with her family at her side.

Genevieve was born on May 29, 1920 in Adah, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ozanic) Bellan and came to Warren in 1955.

A seamstress for Betty Faulls, Genevieve was of the Catholic faith and a long time member of the former Christ Our King Catholic Church in Warren.  After the closing of Christ Our King Catholic Church, Genevieve became a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren.  She enjoyed cooking and baking nut rolls, making homemade spaghetti sauce, crocheting and gardening.

Genevieve was married on February 25, 1941 to Daniel A. Fedarko and they were married for 63 years until his passing on July 28, 2004.  Together they shared the love of three daughters Marie E. (Arthur) Sech of Warren; Patricia A. Zumerling of Champion; Donna J. (Robert) Zahler of Howland Township; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister Dorothy Bellan of Carmichael, PA.

Besides her parents and husband, Daniel, Genevieve was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Bernard R. Schmalzried officiating, will be offered at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Church, preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home prior in leaving for the church.  Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

As a sign of condolence the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Genevieve's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
