Obituary

MESA, Ariz. - George S. Palich, 84, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, while visiting from Arizona.

George was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Warren, the son of Louis and Mary Mitrovich Palich Sr.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. George was a retired teacher from the Tempe, Ariz., school system.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda M. Lauer Palich; four sons, Steven A. Palich of Indianapolis, Scott A. Palich of Gilbert, Ariz., Leslie E. Palich of Waco, Texas, and Mark E. Palich of Gilbert, Ariz.; two brothers, Louis Palich Jr. of Farmdale, Ohio, and Dr. William E. Palich of Louisburg, N.C.; one sister, Florence Parke of Massillon, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

His parents and four brothers preceded him in death.

A memorial service will take place in Mesa.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, Warren.
