Warren - George S. Tsitlakides, 83, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born July 20, 1931, in Sevastiana, Greece the son of the late Stavros and Anna (Amanatidou) Tsitlakides. George came to Warren in 1956. He retired from WCI Steel as a steel pourer in the BOF department after 38 years. George also was the co-owner of the Greek Delight Pastry and Gift Shop from 1976 to 1985. He was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, and previous Board Member, and presently a member of the Senior Citizens Group, YASOU Club, Icarian Club, AHEPA Zeus Chapter #88, past President of GAPA & Macedonian Club. George served in the Greek Army as a communication specialist. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Tsitlakides whom he married November 8, 2002, three children Michael G. (Sharon) Tsitlakides, Anna (Nick) Fantidis and Mary (Emanuel) Koupiaris all of Warren, four grandchildren Kosta (Erin) Fantidis, Eleni (Kosta) Velonis, George and Nicholas Koupiaris and one great grandchild Angelo Velonis. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Helen Tsitlakides, a granddaughter, a brother Pavlos Tsitlakides, and a sister Parthena Sideropoulos. Family and friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. Trisagion Service and there will also be an AHEPA Service. Friends may also call Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE Warren. Service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren. In lieu of flowers Contributions may be made in George's name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
