Warren - George W. "Wilbur" Snelbaker, 86, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at Community Skilled Health Care Centre. He was born August 21, 1927 in Alliance, Ohio the son of the late George W. and Lucille Snelbaker. George came to Warren in 1939. He retired from Copperweld Steel Corporation in the conditioning department as a stalker after 38 years. George was a member of Central Christian Church. He enjoyed traveling, walking and Mountaineer. George served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his two sons Dennis (Connie) Dalton of Glendale, AZ, and David Dalton of Warren, his caregiver and granddaughter Jennifer (Jim) Cecil of Champion and his granddaughter Nicole Dalton of Warren, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a sister Bernice Higgins of Tampa, FL, and a sister-in-law Peggy Snelbaker of Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Flora Snelbaker whom he married June 13, 1977 and passed away October 5, 2011, and four brothers Francis, Joseph, Robert and Glen Snelbaker. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Ty Sabella officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
