Howland - Helen Capito, 71, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, October 15, 2013. She was born June 17, 1942 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of John and Evaline Apostolakis. She had attended Warren G. Harding High School. Helen was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and was a devoted Greek Orthodox Christian and supporter of the Church. She enjoyed singing, dancing, baking and cooking. Helen had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, grandchildren and her dog Cocoa. She is survived by her husband John M. Capito whom she married February 25, 1962, three children Michael J. Capito, Evangeline Capito-McDade and Denise (David) Delida all of Warren, four grandchildren Kasey H. McDade, Rachel, Luke and Pete Delida, a sister Georgia Pantelas of Warren, godson John G. Apostolakis and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother George Apostolakis, three sisters Mary Spanos, Gladys Mavros and Anastasia G. "Tessie" Ahladis and a step father Sam Yoannidis. Family and friends may call Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with 6:00 p.m. Trisagion and Friday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. Service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warren, Ohio.
