Warren - Helen Zampedro, 92, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home. She was born June 22, 1923, in Amsterdam, Ohio the daughter of the late Zigmand and Wilma Wolf. She was a graduate of Warren G, Harding High School. Helen enjoyed bowling and bowled in an area league, meeting her friends at Dunkin Donuts for coffee and doughnuts, and was an avid Browns and Indians Fan. Helen had a passion for writing poems and has written hundreds of poems. When it came to her grandsons the poems were never ending. She is survived by her children George Zampedro of Warren, Joseph (Florence) Zampedro of Lordstown, and Val Zampedro of Columbus, two grandchildren Adam and Jesse Zampedro. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo B. Zampedro whom she married June 22, 1946 and passed away February 7, 1987, three sisters Wilma Jacobs, Rose and Margaret. Family and friends may call Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. Service will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Blasko officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
