Warren - Homer V. Miles Jr., 84, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Hospice House in Poland. He was born December 15, 1930 in New Castle, PA, the son of the late Homer and Laura Miles, Sr. He was a 1947 graduate of New Castle High School and moved to the area in 1971. Homer retired from Niles Expanded Metals as the Sales Director. He had previously worked at Coperweld Steel Corporation and Sharon Steel. He enjoyed boating, woodworking, golfing and loved big band music. Homer was past president of the Trumbull Country Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Shirley Miles whom he married July 3, 1952, four children Steven (Lucretia) Miles of Jefferson, GA, Lori (Dale) Jordan of Warren, OH, Shari (Dave) Bookman of Mason, OH, and Barbara Miles of Warren, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Per his wishes there will be no calling hours or service.
