Warren - Irene L. Metaxas, 78, formerly of Mary Dr. NE, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Signature Health Care. She was born October 25, 1937, in Greece. She came to Warren in 1969 from Youngstown, Ohio. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Metaxas, and Constantine "Dino" Metaxas and a god daughter Marian Mihas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John M. Metaxas whom she married January 9, 1956 and passed away August 5, 1988. Family and friends may call Friday from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Warren, Ohio. A Service will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, in Warren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Demeterios Greek Orthodox Church 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
