Obituary

Jacquelyne Lee "Jackie" Berardo, 81, of Warren, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, July 30, 2026, at Windsor House of Champion.

Jackie was born on December 11, 1944, in Warren, Ohio, the beloved daughter of the late Charles Virgil and Betty Irene (Shade) Parker. A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from Warren G. Harding High School with the Class of 1963. The following year, she married the love of her life, Edward Berardo, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned more than 60 years. Their marriage was a testament to unwavering love, commitment, and devotion to family.

Jackie's greatest joy in life was caring for children. Whether as a devoted homemaker or as a trusted nanny for family and friends, she had a remarkable gift for making every child feel loved, safe, and cherished. She embraced every moment spent reading stories, preparing meals, offering comforting hugs, and celebrating life's little milestones. Her gentle spirit, patient heart, and unconditional love left an everlasting impression on the countless lives she touched.

When she wasn't caring for others, Jackie found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking delicious meals that brought family together around the table and crocheting thoughtful gifts that became treasured keepsakes. Her home was always a place of warmth, kindness, laughter, and acceptance, where everyone felt welcome.

Above all else, Jackie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She found her greatest fulfillment in the success and happiness of her family, and nothing brought her more pride than watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild grow. Her legacy is one of selfless love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the lessons she taught through her quiet acts of kindness and the love she so freely gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Jackie will always be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Edward Berardo of Warren; her children, Michelle Taninecz (Nikita Steals) of Reston, Virginia, Christine Marie (Ralph) Beach of Kinsman, Denean (Scott) Lamphear of Cambridge, and Edward Dominic Berardo (Nichole Bridges) of Newton Falls; her cherished grandchildren, Rachel Taninecz (Calvin Starcher), Emily Taninecz (Brian Watson), Janna Taninecz (Clifton Overby), David Jr. (Mowava) Settle, Alexander Lee Settle , Dylan Settle, Scott Lamphear Jr., Olivia Cecile Lamphear (Tyler McGee), Eva Marie Lamphear (Chase Boyer), M.J. Lamphear (Alex Altier), Elizabeth Rose Berardo, Logan Edward Berardo, and Giavanna Christine Berardo; her beloved great-grandchild, Sylvan; her siblings, Claudia (Joe) Farley, Charles (Linda) Parker, Lori Olexo, Tim Parker, and Tom Parker; her sister-in-law, Cecile Berardo; and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Linger and those who welcomed her into eternal peace.
