Leavittsburgh - "James P." Homa, 68, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his residence after an extended illness with many family and friends by his side. He was born July 19, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Stella Homa. Jim was a 1964 graduate Hubbard High School and attended Kent State Trumbull Branch for 2 years. He retired in 2008 from Wheatland Tube in Warren as a supervisor after 15 years. He had previously worked at Youngstown Steel Door for 20 years. Jim enjoyed bowling, fishing, boating and riding his motorcycle. He was an avid Cleveland Brown, Indians and The Ohio State University Fan. Jim served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam. He is survived by his wife Sandra "Sandi" Homa whom he married May 5, 2006, two sons Jim (Kerry) Homa, Jr. of Howland, and Jesse (Elaine) Homa of McDonald, a daughter Brigitte Radich of Plano, TX, 13 grandchildren Rylie, Reagan, Samantha, Madison, Alaina, Mercedes, Ron, Emilee, Ava, Donzella, Pahton, Joshylnn and Kohlton, three step daughters Cortney, Kandi and Cierra, and a brother Chuck Homa, Sr. of Austintown. He is preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A service will be Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Homa, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made in Jim's name to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
