Youngstown - James M. "Jim" Coffey, Jr., 92, formerly of Warren, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Park Vista of Youngstown. Jim was born June 3, 1921 the son of James M. and Nona B. Coffey, Sr. James came to Brookfield area in 1962 and the Howland area in 1995. He retired in 1982 after 43 years from Sharon Steel as the Director of Pension and Benefit Planning. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Jim enjoyed bowling, computers, dancing, playing cards, music and theater plays. He was avid football fan. Jim served in U.S. Navy during WW II. He is survived by his two children Thomas P. (Betsy) Coffey of Hubbard and Linda R. (Paul) Scarmack of Ashville, NC, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother John G. (Kristen) Coffey of MI., and a sister Ruth Butler of Redford Twp., MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth A Coffey whom he married June 15, 1946 and passed away August 29, 2006, two sons Michael Joseph Coffey, and James M. Coffey III granddaughter Stacey Scarmack and a sister Elizabeth E. "Betty" Coffey. Family and friends may call Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Birmingham, MI.
