Howland - James V. Oliver, 94, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. He was born August 7, 1921 in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Paul and Rachel Oliver. He was co-owner and operator with his wife of James Oliver Hair Styling for 33 years. He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) where he was a member for over 60 years and was an usher for 40 years. His passion and hobby was music and he was the leader of his own band, (Jimmy Oliver and the Jolly Rhythm Boys). James served in the US Navy during WW-II. He is survived by his two sons James P. (Mary Patricia) Oliver of Lakewood, OH, and Lawrence J. (Vickie) Oliver of Ft. Myers Beach, FL., five grandchildren Kristin E. (Adam) Eisenhauer, Kyle, Eric, James Patrick and Jimmy; great grandson, Andrew Eisenhauer; and a sister, Katherine M. Yurko he is also survived by his devoted friend, Delores Simons. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carmel (whom he married July 12, 1943 and passed away July 16, 1992), and three sisters, Nellie Waddell, Clara Ross and Laura Bates. Family and friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) 420 North St. NW, Warren, Ohio 44483. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) with Rev. John Lody officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta, Ohio.
