Warren – James “Jim” Philip Vaughn Jr., 57, of Warren passed away suddenly on Saturday evening, June 27, 2026.

Jim was born on October 12, 1968 in Youngstown, OH, a son of James P. Sr. and Melody (Aaron) Vaughn.

Jim attended Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to have an extensive career in construction. Jim enjoyed his work and was known for his meticulous attention to detail. Once he completed a siding job on a house, neighbors on the same street would call Jim to get on his list. He never worked on just one house on a single street. Jim had most recently worked for Hayco Remodelers.

Outside of work, Jim was a loyal Pittsburgh sports fan cheering on the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers all year long. He was also an avid Ohio State fan and a die-hard fan of whatever sport or activity that his children were a part of. Jim was known for his cooking abilities and enjoyed hosting family and friends for holidays, most especially the Fourth of July. Above all else, Jim was the best dad and he was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jim will always be remembered by his children, Michael (Ronda) Vaughn, Annberlyne (Dylan) Botzenhart, Zachary (Jade) Vaughn, James P. Vaughn III and Philip Vaughn; grandchildren, Tristan, Lexxton and Sebastian; father, James P. Vaughn Sr.; mother of his children, Roberta Horvath; lifetime partner, Susan Domokos; brother, Robert Walp; sister, Lori Walp; uncles, Art and Matt Aaron; aunt, Terri Aaron and faithful cat companions, Mama, Phattie, Baby and Greyzie.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Melody Walp; daughter, Jamie Vaughn; sister, Aaron Lee.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Jim on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 4 to 6pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 6pm.
