Obituary

Warren - James "Jim" Zambelli, 60, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Health Center E.R. of coronary complications. He was born August 29, 1953 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Carl F. and Sophie Zambelli. Jim was a 1971 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired from Arcelor Mittal Coke Plant as a lab technician / laborer after 37 years of employment. He was a long-standing member of the United Steelworkers Union. Jim enjoyed golfing, bowling, and spending time with his family. An avid sports fan, he spent many years coaching the Warren Little Eagles, Warren G. Harding 8-9th grade football teams, and volunteering at the Nick Frankos Manoa-Mims football camp. He is survived by his mother, Sophie of Warren; children Michelle Zambelli of Tampa, FL and Carl "CJ" (Stephanie) Zambelli of Willowick, OH; grandson Rocco Zambelli; brother Thomas Zambelli of Warren; sister Debbie (Zambelli) Marsco of Cortland; three nephews Michael and Mario Zambelli; and Christopher Marsco; and one niece Lisa Marsco. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Spankey and Diva. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl F. and brother-in-law John Marsco. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A memorial service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Carl Kish. In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations to Angels for Animals 4750 W.
