Obituary

Howland - John "Moose" Csehill, 91, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Gillette Nursing Home. He was born August 24, 1923 in Studa, PA, the son of the late George and Anna Csehill. He was a graduate of Independence High School in Avella, PA. He came to Warren in 1942. John had previously worked in Coal Mines, Republic Steel as a heater in the Rolling Mill for 30 years and RMI in the maintenance department after 20 years. He was of the Russian Orthodox faith and was member of the Cortland American Legions #540 and the Sky Diving Club. He enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, traveling, sky diving and watching the sky divers. He served in the U.S. Marines WW II and served in South Pacific. He is survived by his Daughter Joyce (Lee) Cramner of Kailua, HI, two brothers George "Slim" (Tillie) Csehill and Charles "Chow" Csehill both of Howland, nieces and nephews John (Sondra) Csehill of Chicago, Alexis and Debie Csehill of Warren and Kay Csehill of Matthew, NC, great nieces and nephews Kristin, Allison, Greg, John and Dominique Csehill. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Michael Csehill, a sister Mary Csehill and a nephew George Csehill. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m. Vigil Service at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren and Friday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Orthodox Church 2220 Reeves Rd. Warren, Oho 44483. Service will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John's Orthodox Church with Fr. Jonathon Cholcher officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John's Orthodox Church 2220 Reeves Rd. Warren, Ohio 44483.
