Warren - Joseph D. "Joe" Flaviani, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born January 10, 1931, in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Marian Flaviani. Joseph was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran in the Korean Conflict during 1950 to 1954. Joseph worked for Cox Lithographing until 1989, he also worked for the Vindicator retiring from there. Mr. Flaviani was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and a past member of Christ our King Church. Joseph was also a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus #4484, VFW, past treasure of the Printers Union and other various offices of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Warren Italian American Festival Committee as a board member and past treasure. Joe enjoyed bocci, gardening, camping, machine bowling, sports, puzzels, computer games, and his grandchildren. Joe is survived by his wife Christine Flaviani, his children Joseph (Laurie) of N.C., Diane Flaviani of Warren, Dominic Flaviani of Warren, and Janet (Michael) Yaksic of Warren, four grandchildren Curtis Flaviani, Adam Yaksic, Kelly (Matthew) Burgess, Erica (Sammi)Hussaini, & Heather Kos, four great grandchildren Peyton Williams, Elijah Flaviani, Ameila Burgess, and Audrianna Flaviani. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Clemente, Nicholas, Alfred and Henry Flaviani and a sister Gloria Tascione. Family and friends may call Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Church with Rev.Thomas Eisweirth officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Joseph's name to Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. Warren, Ohio 44483. Arrangements are being handled by the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel Warren, Ohio.
