Warren - Joseph J. "Joe" Ruggieri Sr., 90, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born March 7, 1926, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Guy and Julia Ruggieri. He was a 1945 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired from IPS Pharmaceutical Company as a courier for twelve years. He had previously worked Van Huffle Tube Corporation as a machinist for twenty eight years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren. Joe had worked bingo at St. Pius X Church for thirty years and their Church Festivals for years. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, bocce and John Wayne movies. Joe served our country in the U.S. Navy WW-II and served on the USS Sculptor (AK-103). He is survived by his Wife Eleanor Ruggieri whom he married September 3, 1951, two children Debra "Deb" (Ellen) Ruggieri of Mansfield and Joseph "Joe" (Barbara) Ruggieri, Jr. of Warren, three grandchildren Matthew and Katie Ruggieri and Josie Schave, and a sister-in-law Rosamond Ruggieri of Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother Jerry J. Ruggieri. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Warren with Rev. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
