October 4, 1938 – November 8, 2015
Joseph P. Spelich, 77, of Niles, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2:40 p.m. in his home.
Joe was born on October 4, 1938 in Southington, the son of the late Paul and Stephanie (Kernic) Spelich Sr. and was a lifelong area residence.
Joe was a graduate of Southington High School and retired from the Kmart Distribution Center.
He was an avid golfer and bowler. Joe spent a lot of the summer months playing golf at Duck Creek Golf Course. He was a member of the Mayor Ralph Infante Wellness Center and belonged to the Saturday night mixed bowling league at Freeway Lanes in Warren.
Joe is survived by a son Richard (Norma) J. Spelich of McDonald; four brothers Frank (Judy) Spelich of Niles, John (Lisa) Spelich of West Farmington, David Spelich of Garrettsville, James (Amy) Spelich of Southington; two half-brothers Neil and Tod Spelich; a sister-in-law Darlene Spelich of Cortland; two granddaughters Candace (Timothy) Kuhns and Tiffany Spelich and a great granddaughter Camille Spelich.
Besides his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife Sarah "Sally" L. (McKendree) Spelich who preceded him on death on April 30, 2013, and a brother Paul Spelich Jr. and a sister-in-law Lois Spelich.
Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.
A Parlor Service with Rev. Curtis Miller will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
