WARREN - Joseph Zarick, 88, passed away, Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Autumn Hills Care Center.

Joseph was born March 18, 1922, in Jenners, Pa., a son of Anastazy and Mary Mattyko Zarick.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Joseph retired from Copperweld Steel Co. in 1983. He also had previously worked at Mullins Manufacturing Co.

Joseph was a member of the SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening and watching the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers.

Joseph's wife, Stella Zimbicki Zarick, whom he married Oct. 27, 1951, passed away July 6, 2009.

Joseph leaves two sons, Joseph E. (Lisa) Zarick of Warren and Charles R. (Kim) Zarick of Warren; two granddaughters, Morgan and Rachel Zarick; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Joseph was preceded in death by six brothers, John, Paul, George, Mike, Andy and Steve Zarick; and one sister, Dorothy Mitchell Riccelli.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home with the Panachida at 6:45 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
