Obituary

Josephine P. Musick, 88, of Howland Township, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 in her home.

Mrs. Musick was born on March 4, 1926 in Iselin, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Michael and Pauline (Dziurzynski) Swalga.

She worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in the Laundry Department for 25 years and retired in 1982 as a Supervisor.

Mrs. Musick was of the catholic faith and a long time member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church (St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish).  She was a member of the Emblem Club and was an avid card player and enjoyed the friendship of those in the card clubs for over 60 years.

She was married on August 31, 1946 to Stephen P. "Steve" Musick and they were married for 60 years until his passing on September 18, 2006.  Together they would share the love of four children, Stephen M. (Patricia) of Howland; Richard P. (Debbie) of Cortland; Carol A. (Marc) Hornak of Warren and Sandra L. (Russ) Ferance of Bradenton, Florida; nine grandchildren Kimber (James) Fox, Amy (Michael) Hess, Jenelle (Aurelio) Antuna, Austin (Danielle) Musick, Elliott Musick, Jeffrey Musick, Kelly Musick, Alexandria Hornak and Stephen Hornak; and great grandchildren Noe Antuna, Sevilla Antuna, Landon Hess, Benjamin Musick, Victoria, Charles and Jack Fox.  Mrs. Musick is also survived by a sister Victoria Busi of Saltsburg, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Steve, Josephine was preceded in death by a daughter Victoria Musick Beck; a grandson Michael Beck; four brothers and one sister.

Calling hours will take place on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 4 until 7 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, 727 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio 44482.

Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 with closing prayers to be said at 9:20 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with Fr. James P. Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

The family suggests that Memorial contributions may take the form of donations in Josephine's name to the Heritage Fund of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 185 Laird Ave, Warren, Ohio 44483 or to Hospice of the Valley, 5000 E. Market St., Suite 19, Warren, Ohio 44484.
