Katherine Swiatkiewicz, 95, of Cortland, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013 in her home.

Katherine was born on October 18, 1917 in Gray's Landing, PA the daughter of the late George and Katie (Bellay) Vrobel.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church in Cortland.

Katherine is survived by two children Michael C. Swiatkwich of Cortland and Janet K. Gearhart of Fowler; a half brother Charles Vrobel of Uniontown, PA and three granddaughters.

Besides her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her husband Charles Swiatkiewicz on September 11, 2008 and by a sister and brother.

Private Services were held.

Burial was held in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

The Family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Katherine's name to Hospice of the Valley.
