Bristolville - Kathleen M. Johnson, 78, of Bristolville, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, October 10, 2026, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.

Kathleen was born on October 15, 1947, in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of the late Paul and Doris Jean (Smith) Zarick. Throughout her life, Kathleen embraced the roles that meant the most to her: a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a proud homemaker. Following graduation from Bloomfield High School, she had a long and dedicated career, retiring from the Bristol School Board after years of service to her community.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Kathleen attended both Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren and St. William Parish in Champion. Her faith was an important part of her life, providing her with strength, comfort, and guidance throughout the years. She was also deeply committed to the Democratic Party in Trumbull County, dedicating her time and enthusiasm to a cause she believed in.

Kathleen found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved shopping, spending time talking on the telephone with friends and family, and keeping in touch with the people who meant so much to her.

Above all, family was Kathleen's greatest joy. She adored her grandchildren and took every opportunity to shower them with love, affection, and a little extra spoiling. Her happiness was found in being surrounded by those she held dear, and the memories made with family and friends will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Kathleen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Jason (Tonya) Loomis of Bristolville; her cherished grandchildren, Evelynn, Leonidas, and Logan; her twin brother, Richard Zarick; her sisters, Barbara Loomis and Nita Miller; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Besides her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Meigs.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Kathleen on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 10am to 12noon at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 12 noon.

A private burial of ashes will be in Brownwood Cemetery at a later date.
