Warren - Kenneth J. Furniss, 87, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 28, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio the son of the late Clarence and Rose Furniss. Ken started as an apprentice at the age of 15 with Kline's Stained Glass Studio and eventually became the owner/operator. A true craftsman and artist, he created, repaired and installed stained glass windows and creations in Ohio and Pennsylvania areas. He was a founding member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. He enjoyed reading, hiking, biking, golfing, family vacations to Cooks Forest and spending time with family and friends. Ken never missed an opportunity to attend his children and grandchildren's sporting events. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rosemary Furniss, four daughters, Joanne (Cal) Gilbert of Warren, Pat (Ron) Weisenstein of Sheffield, PA, Mary Pasternak of Cortland, and Kathy Schlupe of Stow, eleven grandchildren, Christina and Bryant Furniss, Chris and Ken (Sabrina) Gilbert, Michael, Matt and Megan Pasternak, Justin and Lauren Sandrock and Tori and Thomas Schlupe, one great granddaughter Nadia, and a brother Bob (Joan) Furniss of Clyde, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Larry Furniss and a brother, Ray Furniss. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish Warren, Ohio. A Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
