Warren - Laura Murgie, 97, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 from complications of pneumonia at the Weils Pavilion in Bainbridge, Ohio. Laura was born November 16, 1915 in Pittsburgh, Pa. the daughter of Alfredo and Jennie (Pelino) Del Vecchio. Laura was a member of St. Mary's and Blessed Sacrament Church when she lived in Warren. She and her husband, Charles Murgie, were prior owners of the Sunrise Inn. Laura enjoyed playing bridge and Mexican train, traveling, bowling, line dancing, cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters Janet (Frank) Nannicola of Warren, and Phyllis Coviello (Joseph, deceased) of Cleveland, six grandchildren: Lorie (Tom) Armagno, Karen Coviello, Joe (Maria) Coviello, Armand (Mimi) Nannicola, Charles (Lynn) Nannicola and Frank(Ali) Nannicola, and thirteen great grandchildren: Thomas, Robert, Daniel and Joe Armagno, Lauren, Joe, Gabriela and Juliana Coviello, Cassandra, Mia, Frankie, Armand Jr. and Romero Nannicola. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles "Charlie" Murgie whom she married May 8, 1936 and who passed away March 7, 2002, brother Bill Del Vecchio, two sisters Jo Ann Dale and Sylvia Duncan, and a son-in-law Joseph Coviello. Family and friends may call Monday, July 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio. Donations may be given to The Weils for the Rehab Pavillion employee appreciation fund for all of their hard work, dedication and caring to Laura, or to the Vinney Hospice of Montefiore for all of their kind support they gave to her and to all of her family.
