Warren - Lillian M. Dillon, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born September 28, 1923, in Racoon, PA. the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie Zucco. She came to Warren in 1925. She was a 1942 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Retired in 1989 from the Warren Tribune Chronicle as an advertising executive after 20 years. Lillian was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) in Warren. She was past president of the Emblem Club #397, Hillside Auxiliary, St. James Altar & Rosary and St. James Circle of Caring. She was a member of St. James over 50 Club, Over 50 Central Christian, and the Camillus Association. Lillian was also a volunteer for over 20 years at Trumbull Memorial hospital, Hillside Hospital, St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen, and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph, Trumbull Memorial Hospital and St. James Church. Lillian also was the recipient of Monsignor John J. Lettau Award for excellence in providing pastoral care to the sick and suffering in the faithful tradition of St. Camillus. " She is survived by her children John R. (Laura) Dillon Jr. of Cortland, Gary Dillon of West Chicago, IL, and Denise (Dennis) Gallagher of Niles, daughter-in-law Susan Dillon of Aurora, IL, a grandson Patrick (Marlena) Dillon and two great granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband John R. Dillon Sr. who she married July 6, 1946 and passed away April 10, 2005. Family and friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) in Warren with Rev. Craig McHenry officiating.
