M. Carol
(Hymes) Elwood
June 29, 1949 – December 25, 2014
M. Carol Elwood, 65, of Warren, passed away Christmas Day at 6:25 am with two of her sisters at her side in Trumbull Memorial Hospital under the care of hospice.
Carol, whom was affectionately referred to as "AC" lived an adventurous, exciting and fulfilling life! Carol was born June 29, 1949 in Junior, WV, daughter of the late William Hymes and the late Mildred (Wilmoth) Zakrajsek.
She was a 1967 graduate of Newton Falls High School. Carol worked at Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio, then relocated to Las Vegas, NV and worked as a Keno runner for many years. She returned to Warren, Ohio and became a Nail Technician working at the Hair Company in Champion, Hair Force in Warren and Headquarters Hair and Nails in Warren. Carol and her late Husband, Bill, were the proprietors of the Wet Spot and Toot & Scoot drive-through on Elm Road in Warren, Ohio for ten years.
Carol was a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren, Ohio. She loved the Cleveland Browns, playing slot machines and spending time with her family and friends. She had a heart of gold; would give you the shirt off her back and her last cent. Carol's philosophy was that anyone that doesn't like this life is crazy. She did things her way and was not afraid to take chances and live life to its fullest.
